Introduction:
Bin pump is a high-pressure dense-phase pneumatic conveying device. It fluidizes materials by compressed air and pushes materials forward in plug flow at low speed under high pressure.
A complete working cycle consists of four stages:
1. Feeding: Open the feeding and vent valves; materials fall into the tank by gravity. Close all valves after full loading.
2. Fluidization and pressurization: Compressed air passes through the fluidization plate at the tank bottom to fluidize materials, and the internal pressure rises to 0.2–0.7 MPa.
3. Dense-phase conveying: Open the discharge valve. High-pressure air pushes materials into the pipeline at a low speed of 3–8 m/s to form plug flow.
4. Purging and resetting: After material delivery, air purges the pipeline to prevent blockage. Then exhaust and depressurize for the next cycle.
Application
It is applicable to dry powder and granular materials, especially for long-distance, large-flow and high-abrasion working conditions.
- Power industry: Convey fly ash in thermal power plants; conveying distance: 500–2000 m, capacity up to 50 t/h.
- Building materials: Cement, raw meal, slag powder; solid-gas ratio up to 60:1, max conveying distance 800 m.
- Metallurgy: Pulverized coal injection for blast furnace, alumina powder and ore fines; inert gas protection available for explosion-proof requirements.
- Chemical industry: PVC powder, catalyst, chemical fertilizer, sulfur, etc.
